It's time for another edition of the Jamie Anderson newsletter. You are on this list because you signed my mailing list at a concert or wrote to me and asked to be added. If you'd like to be deleted or if your address will change soon, please let us know at tsunamiinc@aol.com. Please don't forward jokes, virus warnings or petitions. (Incidentally, most virus warnings and petitions are hoaxes. Check http://urbanlegends.miningco.com/ for more info.) I love personal notes from fans, though, and try to answer every email. Please forward this newsletter to your friends, especially if I'm going to be performing in their area. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Table of Contents ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. Tour schedule ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Welcome and general blabbing ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A big welcome to the Midwest folks who joined the mailing list in April!!! I’m writing to y’all from a friend’s cozy home in the woods in Missouri. I love being surrounded by all this green. Reminds me of Deidre McCalla’s song “Cradled in Green.” My Midwest tour has gone really well. Warm thanks to everyone who’s made it out to a show. My Cincinnati audience wants me to tell you that they’re the best audience, but dang, I can’t do it. It’s too hard to choose who I’ve enjoyed playing for more. I’ve performed at universities, in churches, in radio station studios and even in living rooms. It’s been a great pleasure getting to meet many of you. One of the joys of my work is getting out there to talk with the folks who come to my shows. AND eating the chocolate you bring me. Even though I HATE chocolate (yeah right and Gore invented the internet), I’ve managed to consume a fair amount of it on this tour. Hey, you don’t think I get through those long drives because I can find good radio stations everywhere I go. I’ve got three more gigs on this tour (Downers Grove, IL -- Chicago, IL -- Indianapolis) as well as gigs later in the month and on to the summer. Be sure to check out the tour schedule at the bottom of the newsletter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chocolate WHOO HOO ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At my recent Kansas City gig, I had the extreme pleasure to receive some of the best chocolate I’ve ever eaten in my life. And folks, that’s sayin’ a lot. The proprietors of Annedore’s gave me a box of their luscious chocolates. Consuming them gives me the opportunity to do my best Homer Simpson impression, “Ahhhh, chocolate....” I don’t know if they do mail order but here’s how to contact them: Annedore’s Fine Chocolates, Ltd. 106 E. 43 St., Kansas City, MO, 64111 phone 816-753-5012, fax 816-753-5083 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Awesome Astrologer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gloria Carol is a great astrologer who sends out an informative monthly e newsletter. If you’d like to subscribe, send an empty email to CosmicTimes-subscribe@onelist.com. To subscribe via Web site visit http://www.onelist.com/subscribe/CosmicTimes. Gloria also does personal consultations. You can reach her at glocarol@cs.com. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Elect a Ficus Plant for Congress ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Michael Moore, producer of the great TV show “The Awful Truth” (and the poignant documentary “Roger and Me”) has suggested that we vote for a Ficus plant in an upcoming congressional race. He says, “...it is our hope to see Ficuses and other houseplants giving incumbent Congressmen who face little or no opposition a run for their money. 95% of all incumbents get re-elected and many of them run unopposed. We believe the country would be better off with a Ficus tree sitting in Congress than some of these clowns. So, check out our website (http://www.Ficus2000.com) and send us a photo or video of the houseplant you are running for Congress and we'll put it on our show.” I don’t have a Ficus but I’m hoping my African Violet will get some votes. I’m sure her intelligence surpasses the IQ of some of our esteemed representatives in Congress. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Much Better View of the Moon ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Some of you have asked about “Much Better View of the Moon,” a song I’ve performed at some of my recent gigs. It was written by George Wurzbach and Karen Taylor Good. I haven’t yet recorded it but you can get George’s version of this wonderful tune on his latest CD. You can reach him at wurzilla@aol.com. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In Chicago, give her your tired, your stressed ... oh never mind ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When I was in Chicago recently (just for a rest, I’ll return in a few days for my gigs), I had a relaxing massage from Becky Crawford. Her new office is located in Andersonville at 5138 N. Clark and you can reach her at 312-409-0314. I encourage anyone in the area to check out her wonderful massage! I think she added 20 years to this long-time-on-tour body. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Touring babe ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here's where I'll be on tour.
